CLS 320 CDI

Power, smoothness, low fuel consumption and low exhaust emissions are the hallmarks of the CLS 320 CDI engine.
With an output of 165 kW (224 hp) and a torque of 540 Nm within the engine speed range of 1600 to 2400 rpm, the V6 diesel engine in the CLS 320 CDI has outstanding characteristics. And it accelerates this model from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.0 seconds. In fact, the only typical diesel attribute in the CLS 320 CDI is its low fuel consumption. The standard diesel particulate filter makes for a significant further reduction in particulate emissions.

7G-TRONIC 7-speed automatic transmission

In the CLS, the innovative 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission comes as standard to take over the shifting. Its seven forward gears and the correspondingly smaller steps from gear to gear ensure extremely smooth gear changes with no noticeable interruption in tractive power. The 7G-TRONIC also helps reduce fuel consumption and emission values.
When changing down through the gears, 7G-TRONIC is able to skip several gears at a time, resulting in faster gear changes. This also improves the vehicle's braking effect.
